Can't bind Xref into host file.

I have a host file that has a few Xrefs attached. All but one will bind. I keep getting this message saying "Some objects in the specified xref(s) failed to bind". I am not sure what is causing this. Does anyone have any ideas on what this could be?

Thank you,

Could be that you already have an insert block matching that xref name which would prevent you from binding.

I'm not too sure what you mean here by an "insert" block. How would I check if the name is matching? Another thing I just noticed is that there seems to be two instances of the xref, maybe this could be related to the issue.

You can use the Rename command and select Blocks to get a list of the Block names in your drawing which I’m calling as Insert Blocks.
If you’re binding all xrefs then nested xrefs should bind too. But if you are only binding some and it so happens the one you are not binding contains a nested xref matching the same as another that you are trying to bind then that would fail as well.

In trying to BIND it, via XREF command [XR alias] / right-click on it in the list / pick Bind,,,, does it make any difference which of these options you choose?

Both will still give me the error:

I am binding all xrefs. All bind except the one giving me that error that it cannot bind. I tried using the rename command, but it doesn't seem that there is a block matching the name of the Xref that I cannot bind.

Another thing to try is to open the xref run Audit command and resave to see if that might resolve the issue

@alfredo.aceves1 What are these objects exactly? You'll need to find out, perhaps you need to FIX those files or ask the file creator that sent them to you to "export to autocad" and dumb them down for plain AutoCAD to be able to attach them.

Or you could just share those DWG files here and someone else can just do all the above and make it work.
