Can not zoom in close enough

I am using autocad 2010 3D.

Most of the time when in 3d conceptual view I can zoom in far enough to see waht I am doing but sometimes it is not enough to be able to select the correct surface.

When I zoom in too close all the lines and surfaces go funny or and I cant see anything properly.

The same occures in realistic or any other 3d view.

I tried  changing the zoom factors but that didn't work nor did turning off the rest of the layers.

The situation got worse as my file got bigger.

The only work around is to copy and paste the object I am working on in to a new empty model  then put it back in to the main one.

I have recieved two pieces of advice to date.

One is that I need a more powerful graphics card or its something to do with the "clipping planes".

Can anyone help please.

Hi,
I think it's maybe you need powerful graphics card BUT REGEN command line may either help you.

I have already tried regen and regenall and neither works. The graphics card remains the most likely anser but I will keep this issue open until that is confirmed.

The anser is to go in to view manager and switch off perspective then you can zoom in as far as you like.
Unsaved view - view manager - perspective - off

I am going to answer my own question - you have to go into view manager and switch off perspective.

It didn't work for me. My perspective is already parallel.

@Anonymous why not share your DWG file with us then if the tip above was not a fix?

This one fixed the problem. It has nothing to do with a graphics card to zoom in. Thank you for your help.
