California MUTCD sign blocks

I am looking for CAD files for MUTCD signs in California.

Paper space and model space blocks would be ideal.

I have AutoCAD 2019, 64 bit, Windows.

I have found the signage in PDF format but not in AutoCAD format.  I searched for a bit without much luck. I suggest contacting the State to see if they have anything like that available or if you will need to build this content yourself.

I have not asked the state yet. I need model and/or paper space blocks of Regulatory & Warning MUTCD signs.

Hi @Anonymous, Do you need help in creating your own blocks? Is there a reason to not refer vendors/fabricators to the State site for specifications on the signage?

I emailed the state and they gave me site to go to. It has CADD files to download for AutoCAD, but I have not found MUTCD Sign blocks for model or paper space. 

I still need to look through some of these files to get the blocks I need, thanks.

If you do not find the blocks you need and then need to create them yourself, I am happy to assist if necessary.

The geometry for a block in paperspace as opposed to one in modelspace should not be any different.

I was planning to check my contacts and have them send me some blocks. This would save me time. If you can assist me in anyway that would be appreciated.

Hi @Anonymous,

I downloaded one of the signs from here in PDF format. I then used PDFIMPORT and found that the sign came in as vector geometry (Created in Adobe Illustrator). You will likely have to do some adjustments on text and such but this might actually be pretty quick to get them created.

Can you find the specific signs you want? I would be happy to make a video of how I get it into AutoCAD.

I have been through this topic and feed. the sign blocks are not California MUTCD. They have signs, but not the ones I am looking for exactly.

I need standard temporary traffic control sign blocks for construction. Ones found in the MUTCD and WATCH Manual. Warning, Regulatory, California series, and guide signs to use in model and paper space. My previous job used illustrator to convert Thomas Guide into AutoCAD, it is quite fast.
