CAD lagging when moving certains objects like X-REF, revision cloud or block with hatch

Hi,

My CAD is lagging when I move certains objects like X-REF, revision cloud or block with hatch. It's fine when I move lines. I tried to change my hardware acceleration but impossible :

Can you help me?

Thank you,

Nicolas

Your laptop's video card/driver are under-performing, so AutoCAD has gone into the equivalent of "safe mode" so as not to crash inside your system (the circled area should be reading DirectX1something)

if you cannot find a driver for your NVIDIA T1200 from Autodesk's certified list here

https://www.autodesk.com/support/system-requirements/certified-graphics-hardware/autocad

Then you'll want to try upgrading that driver (or possibly even downgrading it) from your Laptop maker's website first, as well as explore more tips from Autodesk here

I contacted my office IT; they'll probably change my laptop for a laptop with a certified graphic card. Thank you very much for your help!

You may want to forward to IT staff this link to check which graphics cards are certified. But this only lists AutoCAD 3 versions back. Also AutoCAD should still run fine on graphics cards that are not certified but that’ll require you as the user to do the testing

It's the same link than the first of pendean's post. Wich testing?

Hello,

I have contacted my IT departement, they made some changes.

There seems to be 2 graphic cards, we also made changes in graphics as seen below and here is the result in Autocad.

Are those settings recommanded? If not, is there a way to setup inside Autocad the default usable graphic card?

Thanks,

If that now works for you better than previously, great. if you still have issues, you can change GFXDX variable to 0 (that's a zero) then restart AutoCAD to test it again (restart of the program is important).

if you still face issues, change the 2D DISPLAY SETTINGS from ADVANCED to one of the other settings in that pulldown.

If you or your IT want to try for the other video card, read this from Autodesk on how to proceed
