building a pc to run 3d design programs and render in cad

I was wondering if anyone could help me by giving me a list of parts to buy as I am going to build a PC which I want to use for heavy use of rendering and other 3d design work. as i do not have much knowledge about computers I do not know if it is possible to make a good computer for these applications for around $1500 AU
