Bouncy Ribbon

There are times when I select design items and the ribbon increases its height to make room for added options. The problem is this makes my drafting area adjust as well and makes it appear to bounce around. It's very disruptive to workflow. Is there a way to stop the adjustment of the ribbon size?

TIA

Is it your status bar on the bottom that is increasing in size or your top bar? We will need to know the exact 'bar' that's causing the issue so you can disable it or change its behavior.

Is your ribbon visible the entire time while you are drafting?

The ribbon, the top bar.

Yes, the ribbon is set to the "Cycle through all" view so that I can see all of the commands in the ribbon. Switching to minimize them is not going to work for me.

When you increase the rows in the ribbon to more than three, the Ribbon gets taller since the whole point of the Ribbon is to always show you all of your content that you add there all the time.

Either stop adding a 4th or 5th row (use a column instead like I do here, see below), or live with your customizations if toggling/hiding the ribbon is not an option

@adamTPTQA  This is a Civil 3D 2023 problem when selecting profile views.  There is a video created by @Jeew-m that shows a couple options to fix it.  You can find the video HERE

RIBBONDOCKEDHEIGHT = 120 solves the problem.
