Anyone know if there is a way to remove this blue outline around the program?  It doesn't matter if its in windowed or full screen mode.

Did you ever figure this out?  I have the same issue with ACAD LT 2024.

The blue border you are seeing is around the program window itself, not a drawing object or viewport, and currently there is no in-product switch in AutoCAD/LT 2026 to eliminate that thin border. In 2025, it is usually gray, but in 2026, it is blue on some Windows 11 installations.

A few things you can check:

Ensure it is not a Windows or PowerToys overlay (temporarily disable any window highlighting/snapning tools and test in a fresh Windows environment).

In Windows Settings → Personalization → Colors, you can try turning the “show accent color on title bars and window borders” option on or off to see if it affects the appearance of the outline.

Make sure you are on the latest updates of AutoCAD/LT and graphics drivers.

From Autodesk KB article

  • Install updates for the graphics card from Device Manager
    1. Press Windows key + X to open the Windows troubleshooting tools menu.
    2. Choose Device Manager from the list.
    3. Go to Display Adapters drop down section, right-click Nvidia graphics driver.
    4. Choose Update Driver Software from the menu.

    5. Select Search automatically for updated driver software.
    6. Wait for a few moments while Windows tries to find and install the latest driver for your PC.

  • Install graphics driver updates from Nvidia.
    1. Go to the Nvidia website
    2. Manually search for the driver update or use the autodetect given on the website link:  Nvidia Download Drivers

  • Uninstalling and clean reinstalling the Nvidia graphics card drivers.‎
Note: A clean reinstall of your drivers will also replace the corrupted files with files that work properly. Before we get started, restart your computer in safe mode.
    1. Open Windows in Safe Mode (directions to do this can be found in the Microsoft Knowledge Article: Start your PC in safe mode in Windows 10).
    2. Open Device manager by typing in Device Manager in the 'Start' menu. Alternatively, you can press the Windows Key and X together to bring up a list, select 'Device Manager' and click it.
    3. Next, locate a section tree for the 'Display Adapter' and click the '+' expand it.
    4. Right click on your graphics card driver and uninstall it.

      1. A window box will appear with the option to 'Delete the driver software for this device', select it and click 'OK'.
      2. Go to the Nvidia website and either manually search for the driver update or use the autodetect given on the website link: Nvidia Download Drivers
      3. Once it has downloaded the executable, double-click on it to start the installation.
      4. Follow the on-screen instructions until presented with the Installation options window.
      5. Select the box labeled 'Custom(Advanced)' then click 'Next'.
      6. On the next screen, make sure all of the components to install are ticked.
      7. Under the 'Select driver component' table, tick the box 'Perform a clean installation' and click 'Next'.
      8. Complete the installation, then restart your computer.

It does imply windowed vs screen mode.  Physically drag the blue borders towards the outside of your screen and toggle on full screen.  @hildabrittain

Just randomly started happening to me today. During mid use. I always keep ACAD windowed, so I can easily access windows behind Autocad. Moved Autocad to the left and the Blue border showed up, and like a bad mother in-law, wont leave. Closed, Opened, CTRL+Win+T, Windows options, Colors, Themes, NADA.  Drivers shouldn't have updated a midst using the program. But it did start whilst moving the window. I'll try turning it off and on again.

No fix: maximize your program and wait for the next future version(s) to change it all, if that is even possible.
