Block multiline attribute not in correct location

Vanilla Autocad 2020 on Windows 10

I just created a little block with a multiline 'Notes' attribute.

All ok except for the location of the Notes field, which seems to be setting itself to the insertion point of the block rather than below the previous attribute. Locking or not the attribute location doesn't make any difference.

I've attached a screen shot showing the exploded block with the correct attribute locations, and the inserted block with the notes in green in the wrong location.

Never had this issue before 🤔

Well I just opened it again in the Block Attribute manager and closed it, without doing anything, and it is now displaying correctly...

Hello @KeithSWD

I was able to correct the issue with your NOTES attribute by using the "Manage Attributes" select the attribute then "Edit" > Justification select "Bottom Center". Please review this video I created for you.

Hi  -

thanks for the reply and screencast. Actually what you showed in the screen cast did not fix the issue. I wanted the text justification for the Notes attribute to remain as Top Left. It was the insertion point for the attribute that was wrong and not corresponding to the block as created.

But as per my own reply to my original post, loading the block into BATTMAN and closing it without doing anything fixed it...   Just a glitch it seems.

Hello @KeithSWD

I am glad you resolved it by using the Manage Attributes a.k.a. BATTMAN command.

Have a great day. Smiley Happy
