Hi,
I have a library of blocks contained in one drawing with a set base point which has been defined using Block Editor (pick point). When I copy / paste these blocks in to another drawing, the base point is kept.
However, when I move the blocks in to the Tool Pallette and insert into another drawing, the base point changes to a point miles away. I know it's possible to keep the same base point as I've seen it done in other tool pallettes, but for the life of me I can't work out how this is done.
Would anyone be able to provide some guidance? I'm running AutoCAD 2015.
Thanks so much in advance,
Clare
Hi Dean,
It happens regardless of whether I use a new file or an existing one when draqgging from TP in to drawing.
However, if I create a new drawing and create some "test" blocks, and follow the same procedure (choose pick point, copy to TP, copy in to another drawing), the problem doesn't reoccur - I assume it's a setting I have in my block library but not sure what setting to look for. I still have the same issue if I select all blocks and copy them in to a blank file.
Hope that clarifies a bit better.
Thanks again,
Clare
