Block Attribute Text Extraction.

When I insert a field in my multi-text object that is being pulled from an attribute on my titleblock, the field is surrounded by a gray box.  Is there anyway to change that so it appears as just regular text?

Hi,

the grey background is just for the display, so you can see that this is a field value, it is not printed.

If you don't want that you can turn off FIELDDISPLAY (>>>details<<<)

Hi @Anonymous,

@Alfred.NESWADBA's great answer is absolutely correct.  The field background is displayed so that you know the text is not a piece of Mtext but that it is a field.  It should not affect formatting or printing.

Perfect.  I also learned that there is a command, UPDATEFIELD, that will update text on selected objects or depending on how the FIELDEVAL variable is set, running a REGEN command will update the all the MText that contains field data.
