Block Attribute elevation

Why is the attribute on other elevation than z=0?

The block is imported from another application.

How can I move the attribue to z=0?

It appears someone moved the attribute to a snap point on an object with a non-0 elevation. If you insert the block with the insert command the new instance will have the attribute at its default elevation of 0. You can also draw a line from the insertion point of the attribute to any point nearby, set the z values of the line to 0 and then snap the attrib to that line's start to reset that instance of the block.

Nobody here can know this,

but three way in general:

1. Someone tried to move the the block reference by grips and took the attribut grip instead the grip of block reference.

2. The block reference was created at a time where the block definition looked different (with attribut definition Z=42.2483..

3. Someone used a program to flat the drawing, but used a bad tool for this.

It's also possible in AutoCAD

I received this file with hundreds of blocks like this distributed on different locations and it is making me crazy!
I think something happened during the export.
FLATTEN or CHANGE do not work!

Attribute Editor or Properties do not show information about attribute elevation!

But the MOVE Trick from the link above does.

Also ATTSYNC in this sample case, but this changes multiple things more.

I have tried FLATTEN in AutoCAD 2020 and it works well.

You can also try CHZ20 if FLATTEN doesn't work.

Hi @Anonymous

Try syncing the attributes. Type in the command "ATTSYNC" and select block and the elevation of the attribute will become zero🙂
