Best tablet for Autocad and/or Revit

Greetings.
I would like to buy a tablet to desig in field and show the projects to my clients. Could you please recommend me a model, durable and fully functional? I'm considering a touch model, running Android for AutoCAD, AutoCAD MEP and Revit if possible. The price sould be up to 1000. I'd rather use internal memory for file storage/transfer due that in my country the internet service is not good.
Thank you in advance

Hi mactp3000,

Welcome to the forums, I have two models I would recommend.

Tablet 1: Microsoft Surface Pro 3. This tablet runs full Windows OS which means you can install all the apps you would normally run on your workstation in the office. These tablets house a rather large amount of internal data without needing an external hard drive. Also since your running a full blown Windows OS you can install lots of other software than just your Autodesk products. The tablet is made well and you can purchase weather enclosures for it to protect it while in the field.

Tablet 2: Nexus 9. This tablet is one of the most powerful android tablets on the market right now. It will allow you to run all your normal android apps as well as apps geared towards Autodesk products.  The hard drives are smaller in these around 32gb which might be a disadvantage when comparing it to the Surface Pro 3.

These are the two tablets I would consider buying in your usage scenario.

what profession and type of work? consider Algiz10x and Trimble yuma with built in GPS.  above the budget number, but both rugged outdoor ready units with windows OS.

Well here it is 2020 and the question still gets asked.

I'm looking at Panasonic Toughpad running Windows 10 (available in Win7 from some vendors).

Our office does field work (civil engineering as-builts of existing sites & facilities) in all weather conditions. The Panasonic Toughpad seems like the best tool for the work.

If anyone has experience running Autocad on a Toughpad I'd appreciate if you'd share your experience before I spend the $$$$.

Thanks.
