Batch Plot PDF's have some color.......

I have been working on the same project for about a year now and I've been batch plotting PDF's into a binder and only recently I've had some issues with the PDF ending up in color instead of just black line.

I have one binder that has 84 sheets in it. The strange thing is that some of the pdf's are all color and some have just random lines with text as color.

If I plot each tab to a pdf this problem does not occur.

I select multiple tabs, right click and select Publish Selected Layouts...

After the dialogue opens I then select PDF under the Publish to:

I have been doing this ever since I've upgraded to Civil3d 2014 without any issues until just this past week,

Any input would be appreciated

The pagesetups you are publishing point to the wrong (or no) plot syle table perhaps.
OR
Most likely some of your objects are not following your plot style table settings, or are RGB color settings which ignore plot style tables.

Dive into those DWG files' areas and explore those objects in more details.

If some lines and text object plot in color and the remainder in black it is problably because those colored lines and text are on a layer that does not have a plot style defined.

If some sheets or layouts plot in color instead of black it probably means the plot style for that sheet or layout is incorrect.

Are you using CTB or STB plot styles?

Do all your sheets or layouts have proper page setups defined?

All of the tabs have the same Page Setup. The CTB and PC3 are the same

Everything is Bylayer as well.

Keep in mind that I've been printing this way for months. All of a sudden the issue shows up.

If this file has plotted ok for several months and all of a sudden it does not, that means something has changed (by someone)
Difficult to tell what that change is without looking at the file.

"all of a suddden" doesn't exist in reality, layer and object settings don't change by themselves: open the file, seek out these objects, examine assigned pagesetups, test plot style tables, start testing inside that file.

Then if all is fine there, examine your batch-plot procedures concerning this one file: it may have an override pagesetup in play.

You forget about the autocad fairies and goblins that come in the middle of the night and create havoc with plot scales, linetypes, plot styles and unlock your viewports.

I'm the only person that has touched this drawing.

I will double check all of the setting though

Thanks for all of the input.

I had the same issue: PDF plotting happily then all of a sudden colors in the PDFs when i batch plot. Still all good if i plot only one of them one by one.

THIS IS A BUG IN AUTOCAD BECAUSE IT WORKS FOR EACH SHEET AND IT DOES NOT WORK FOR ALL.

(putting it in caps so Autodesk won't miss it)

Anyway how i solved it is as follows:

1. I looked at the plot dialog in the lower right hand corner and it was winging: Missing or corrput plot style.

2. I checked the plot page of the layout and the file was not registering as missing so it must be corrupt.

3. I clicked on the tool box and just did a save of the file without changing anything, figuring out that this might fix the corruption in the file.

Turns out it did.

I am at loss who to award the waste of time bugs to, Autodesk or Microsoft. I'm being biased not to award it to Autodesk because i like their product but please keep a tap on those bugs? Cheers!
