Baseview custom UCS

Hello all,

Is there a way to use the BASEVIEW command in a layout that is aligned to a custom UCS? I have a model with walls at odd angles and would like to be able to show them in elevation but the BASEVIEW command only allows me to choose WORLD UCS view orientations. How can I get around this?

A better solution than what I first posted, below, is to create a top view, then rotate that view, then project the view from that, then put the top view on a non-plot layer if needed.

I have a kludge of a solution involving pulling a section view off the face of the angled surface, rotating that view.  If I don't need the top view I place that on a layer that doesn't plot and change the scale to something small, change the section (auxiliary view) back to the scale needed.  I told you it was a kludge.

There is a cuStom option under Orientation but it doesn't do anything, so I am assuming if Autodesk fixed that we would have a way to do this?

Seems like AutoCAD doesn't currently have a function to handle this situation. These solutions are about as clunky as what I am doing now which is modeling the wall in World UCS and doing all my layouts, xref'ing it to another file as an attachment where I rotate it to its proper angle, then use that to xref into other files. Hope to see Autodesk implement something more efficient in the future.
