Background darkens when panning

Morning folks,

This has been bugging me for some time - when I'm in top view (XY plane) view, with the bottom of the viewing area above the origin, the background darkens suddenly from the light grey background to a darker grey background. Personally I find the darker grey background so much easier to work with, so was hoping to have that as the only background colour, getting rid of the light grey - is this in any way possible?

Type in the command "VS" and then "2" for 2dwireframe. Anything better?

would you check 3D Parallel Projection and 3D Perspective Projection Color modes .

Aye, I found that screen... But I'm afraid I'm unsure which settings to change

SO ... start check backgound colors that meet your need .

I don't think you quite get my problem... I don't know which of those settings I need to change - which one is the background before the panning and which one is it after? I've tried changing a few, but no change

in this case ... Trial and error is the best way .
