AutoCAD2020 Using to Much CPU & no GPU

Every time I regen or switch tab my AutoCAD uses to much system CPU and the CAD stalls until this CPU use drops off, it doesn't appear to be using any GPU either.

I've attached a screen shot from Task manager and also the graphics tuner log, the log does say my card and driver do not meet the minimum requirement but it is on the Autodesk certified list.

I've tried all sorts of suggestions found on these boards and others and the latest driver from Nvidia is installed.

AutoCAD has become almost unusable on this PC although it has only been doing this recently so I wonder if a recent patch has messed things up.

Thanks for any help.

Post a screenshot of your ABOUT and GRAPHICSCONFIG commands pop-ups please.

I noticed you are not quite running the version posted at the Autodesk website

I'm running the latest display driver from the Nvidia website but I did try the one listed on the Autodesk website and it made no difference.

Requested screen shots below.

Thanks. You look to be up to date.

This is a laptop, correct? If yes, as a test only, if you put it in airplane mode does the slowdown disappear?
If not, as a second test only, turn off hardware accelaration after you turn off airplane mode, any difference?

This is a desktop PC, I tried turning off the hardware accelleration but it made no difference, & autocad re enabled it anyway.

As a test I tried loading the same drawing on my laptop at home and the redraw time although slow was faster than the work desktop, which is odd as my home laptop is a 6 year old Thinkpad and obviously no dedicated graphics card.

I'll also try it on my home desktop over the weekend, it's even older but does have a modern Nvidia gaming card in it.

On your desktop, disconnect from the internet/web as a test and see if your slowness issues go away while working on local files.

It doesn't make any difference.

Restart your PC.
As a test only, toggle your anti-virus software off for 20-minutes: now use AutoCAD2020 for those 20-minutes, still problematic?

Rebooted but unfortunately I can't turn off the anti virus, it's a managed system and the only option available to me is scans.

Contact your IT for assistance for the test: have them observe it, if the issues go away they need to set your AV software to exclude AutoCAD files.

Thanks I'll copy this to them, it's an external company that does it for us and the AV is one tailor made for them.

My anti virus is going to be remote disabled for 20 minutes I'll let you know what happens.

That has made a difference where a regen or tab switch was taking a couple of minutes it is now taking 15 seconds.

It also used a bit of GPU and not all CPU.

AutoCadD files have now been excluded from the anti virus and it's made a big difference.

Thanks for your help I would never have guessed that the anti virus was causing it.
