AutoCAD - When I freeze a layer on the model space, it freezes the layers on the Layout viewport

Hello,

I hope everyone is well.

Before I would set up another DWG file to plot my drawings on the layout space, however I have recently started using the same DWG file to model and plot, though with this I am having trouble with freezing the layers.

I have no trouble organising which layers I want to freeze and unfreeze on the viewport, though when I freeze layers in the model space, it automatically freezes these layers on the layout space. Is there a way to freeze layers in the model space without it turning layers off in the viewport in the layout space?

This is Normal and how AutoCAD works.

No .. there is no way!!

Note: There is a way to freeze viewport layers without affecting model space by using VP tabs in Layer Properties Manager.

@senizQYX66 You have it backwards: you can freeze layers inside individual viewports separately from each other and from modelspace in AutoCAD.
BUT all of your layers need to be thawed/on in modelspace all the time so you can enjoy that benefit.

If you are really asking how to work in modelspace with viewport-only settings, then explore using VPMAX command (usage explained in help) with the various viewport you have preset instead (VPMIN gets you back out again).
