Hello,
This seems a bit trivial but I can't seem to find an answer. I use the Start tab all the time - the recent files list is exceptionally useful. I've installed AutoCAD & AutoCAD LT 2024 after doing a bare metal de-install of all of the old AutoCAD version haunting my workstation.
Now the date format on the recent files list in the start tab is in US format. I'm in Australia and would prefer that format. My computer's WIN 10 default date format and location are set for Australia and dd/MMM/YYYY. The previous versions all followed the the default OS setting - but the clean de-install may have changed this (the registry entries get deleted).
Any hints on how to fix this ?
Rgds,
Andrew
The 'date' field format is following the OS setting (regional short date).
I still have 2023 installed and changing the Windows OS date format does get reflected on 2023's Start tab listing Recent files. But unfortunately there's no impact with 2024's Start tab and I don't see any settings within AutoCAD that can change this.
Obviously 2024 is behaving differently than 2023. Perhaps contact Autodesk to let them know and they might consider changing the behavior back
