AutoCAD - Sheet Set Manager missing sheets when printing.

I think there is a bug in the Sheet Set when publishing. I have a sheet set that has 28 drawings in it and when I right click on the parent name and select publish to PDF, AutoCAD will run the process and when I go to look at my file it is randomly missing files from the sheet set. I have Included two files for your review.
The file called Introduction to CAD II Packet-3 (ran at 7:56 am) is missing the following files: PL-20, PL-31,

The File called Introduction to CAD II Packet-5 (ran at 8:00 am)is missing the following files: PL-00, PL-42

I have also attached what the sheet set manager shows inside of autocad.

ACAD 2022, same issue here. Certain sheets are skipped when plotting to pdf from SSM. No idea why. All sheets are set to "YES" include for printing.

@sascari @Jeremyking588 That's unfortunate.

Since that almost never happens here, you both will need to either determine how to share full files/DSTs here, or Open a support case with Autodesk if you are on subscription to seek out Autodesk Support's help:

Hi, Jeremy! I've been having this issue too, and I believe it has to do with Autocad adding multi-core support to publishing. It greatly increases publishing speed, but seems to make it skip pages on certain CPU's (such as my AMD 5800x).

Try setting BGCOREPUBLISH to 0. It will make the process a lot slower, but at least you'll be able to actually plot all the sheets now.

Hope this helps!

try setting BGCOREPUBLISH to 0. See my full reply in this thread for more details.

Just ran into this problem today after decades of Publishing - sometimes it will publish a full set, sometimes it leaves out the first sheet, sometimes it leaves out the second sheet - no rhyme or reason as to why.

Unfortunately this did not solve it for me.

@rwchilds @randyspear6624 Turning off background plotting and publishing is the first thing to try-
Background publishing can be disabled by clearing the Publish in background check box ( Publish Output group) in the Publish dialog box or in OPTIONS' PLOTTING tab https://help.autodesk.com/view/ACD/2023/ENU/index.html?guid=GUID-C2E4D720-8958-4E89-9817-80611B32FF9...

I tried that right after I posted - and it seems to help. I'll have to see going forward. Thanks!

This issue is still not resolved. Depending on how I select the sheets similar to the original post's method, it misses sheets. Alternating from switching to the first sheet and selecting the last sheet or selecting the last sheet and selecting the first sheet resolves this problem. No other setting need to be changed to make this work. This is clearly an Autocad bug.

I deal with the problem daily with autocad lt 2024 , ever since i updated from 2019 to 2024 if i publish anything more than a single sheet , about 75% of the time some of my sheets are missing, i never get any errors listed, it typically takes between 4 and 6 tries to get all of my sheets to actually publish. The sheets missing always seems random. It's actually quite a headache..

Joe,

A new feature called "Broken publish in background" was added in the newest version of Autocad. Uncheck that option in the Publish dialog box and it should hopefully publish all your sheets.

Turn of background publishing in 2024 like you did in 2019 back in the day: solves that exact issue for all of us (OPTIONS command, plot tab)
