Autocad selection

Hello.

I have a problem, I hope you can help me solve.

when I select a group line and polyline,

I want to cancel the selection for a specific line, but I can't, and he sends me this message:

choose the image (s) you would like to select in autocad.

Thank you...

Hi @H.a.r_80

I am not sure if I understood your question correctly. If you want to unselect an object from selection then press the "Shift" key and then left-click on the object to remove it from the selection. Is that what you are looking for? If not then please upload a snapshot.

To remove an item from a selected set, hold down the SHIFT key & pick the item to be removed. If you want to remove an item from a group, type UNGROUP at command line & select the group, then edit items as desired & GROUP to re-group selection.

Hope that helps. Good luck!

The problem is that it's part of a GROUP.  When you Shift-select, or use the Remove option in object selection for an editing command, it un-selects the entire Group, not just the object you pick on.

@Kent1Cooper I assume OP missed including "of". >>When I select a group "of" polyline and line<< 😉 which makes me feel he is not talking about GROUP 🙂  only @H.a.r_80 confirm us about that.

@H.a.r_80 Are you talking about a group or individual objects? If you are talking about the group then @Kent1Cooper reply holds good,

That part about the message is [to quote the King in The King and I] "a puzzlement!"  In addition to the question of whether or not you're talking about a GROUP [in AutoCAD's meaning of the word], what exactly are you doing to try to cancel selection of a specific line?

@H.a.r_80 What command are you using that is only asking you to select an image?

thank you all.
Sorry for my unclear question
I draw lines over an image in AutoCAD, and when I want to delete several lines and want to return a line around the command before executing it, I do shift + wire, I can't, and it sends me the following message: choose the image you would like to select in AutoCAD.
But the Shift + Select(to deselected) feature works correctly when the image is not exist.

Thank you very mush

I use  Shift +select(to move or erase or copy …) for deselected one line out of all lines selected but when I have a image in my file enable to use Shift + select

thank you.

What is "shift + wire" exactly? Are you on a MAC or using a custom keyboard?

Are you using Raster Design along with AutoCAD?  There is a setting for that in Raster Design "Options".

the MAPIOPTIONS. In the Raster Extension Options dialog look under the General tab. Down near the bottom you should see "Shift+Left Click Image Selection.

This is how the problem is solved.

Thank you
