With the array it does no always work, yet if I clear the screen and do it again everything works. ????

Im using AutoCAD 2017

Hi,

Please let us know a bit more details!

>> I have a script that [...]

Should we answer this without seeing what your script does, how it is build?

>> it does no always work

What does this mean? It shows you errors in the command-line, it creates incorrect results, it ...?

Hi,

Try to run the script with the osnaps turned off and check whether the problem still persists.

The script produces a 2d drawing for a pile cage.

When it comes to do a cross section, I create a circle then array it followed by a line then a 2nd array followed by another line and a 3rd array finishing with another circle and 4th array.

for some reason it does not do the 4th circle.

if I run the same script twice it will do everything as it should.

all snaps are turned off.

>" When it comes to do a cross section"

You know that Autocad object selection modes like cross and windows selection are depend of the current view?

When you use cross selection, you have to force the best of view for this selectio (best of = near to) .

Zoom to the area and then use cross selection.

I need more time to write about all things of the autocad object selection, but this hint is the main point.

(Nothing to do with script, thats just how some autocad object selection modes works. Why it never happen "by Hand"?

1. It happen, but you think you made a mistake

2. Usualy you dont use coordinates to select object (by hand)

3. If you working "by hand", you ever zoom to the area of selection.

See Alfreds answer,

you should post your dwg and script(s), without them is a a pain.

It is YOUR problem, so make it easy as possible to help you.

I had an issue where the same script would run to plot several shapes mainly a few circles, splines and hatching, layered on top of each other in a specific order. It was inconsistent and would sometimes plot perfectly other times it would draw irregularly. Turning off all osnaps helped me so thank you 😄 very much was a frustrating problem that is now solved
