Autocad prints hazy letters and numbers

Hello Forum Members,

In autocad, text and numbers appear hazy when printing to PDF (low and high quality).

Hazy as little ik lines comming from them.

See image below, especialy the 0 is vissible.

Does anyone know what causes this/ how to solve?

Which PDF Viewer are you using?
Which driver created the PDF?

Which year version of AutoCAD are you using?

Are those TTF fonts or SHX fonts?

Questions/Comments:

1) Do you have the latest AutoCAD updates installed?

Enter ABOUT command, do a screenshot & share that here.

2) Could you share a sample dwg that contains these dimensions that show up hazy?

3) Please include ctb/stb file you're using to PLOT to PDF.

4) Lastly provide screenshot of your PLOT window.

2. I have included a sample file. 

I discovered that the file is not a original Autocad file. Probably Inventor export.

The dimensions are hatches without a line around them:

Still i wonder why it won't export it to a PDF correctly.
I have tried acrobat, foxit and microsoft edge, all look the same.

3. I use the standard ones from Autocad.

I have tried different default plotter options and different plot style tables.

Most of the time i use AutoCAD PDF (Smallest File).pc3
with monochrome.ctb

I think it has something to do with the way the hatch is handled in the plot.

Everytime i run into this issue it has to to with hatches.

Never mind, it is solved when using "microsoft print to PDF" plotter.

I did not expect that to work to be honest.

So its a plotter issue.

Actually the problem has to do with what you found that those dimension numbers are not actually text objects but made up of hatches.

So the visual quality now depends on the resolution of the PDF printer and how close you zoom in to the area using your pdf viewer.

Here are screen shots of the 4 different PDF printers (including the Microsoft one) viewed in Acrobat zoomed into 600%

The Microsoft one is actually not as clear.

AutoCAD's Small PDF (400 dpi) is a bit fuzzy

AutoCAD's High Quality (2400 dpi) & when increased to 4800 dpi is most acceptable.
