autocad printing problem white and grey all the time

hello everyone , i am facing a problem with printing a drawing in Autocad.

1-The printing ,whether color or  black , when printed as adobe .pdf file the drawing is printed in it original colors ( with any plotstyle ). It works fine. Refer to image (1.png)

2- The printing ,whether color or  black , when printed to an actual printer as hard-copy  the printed drawing is always in grey and white color ( with any plotstyle ). This is the problem . Refer to image (2.png)

Note that the actual printer's setting is set to print  the hard-copy  as a color drawing not in white and grey.

if anyone could help me solve this problem it would be great

Hi,

if printing to PDF works well and printing to a different printer does not work well, then you have to look to your printer settings. BTW: what happens when you print your PDF to the printer?

Generally: Grey instead of black (in most cases) happens when your viewport has set the visual style to anything else than "2D Wireframe", but that should be equal on all printers.

 THE PRINTER SETTING IS SET TO PRINT PLAN IN COLOR NOT WHITE AND BLACK.

AND FOR YOUR QUESTION ABOUT .PDF  FILE WHEN PRINTED AS A HARD COPY . THE OUTPUT PAPER IS PRINTED IN COLOR.

Every AutoCAD version comes with MONOCHROME.CTB plot style table: use it, all output is always black all the time unless you changed it all.

Which seems to be a proof that you are either using a different driver when printing directly from AutoCAD to that printer ... or your PC3 file has the setting to send this printer all in grey.

I would suggest to create a new PC3 file for that printer (using the "Add a plotter wizard").

hi Alfred, 

i will attach an image showing that the pc3 setting for the plotter is set to be color not black and white but still the plan are being printed  white and black .

For your second suggestion , can you explain more how to "create a new PC3 file for that printer (using the "Add a plotter wizard")?????

Start AutoCAD with a new drawing, start command _PLOTTERMANAGER, there you'll find a "Add a plotter wizard", you also might follow >>>that description (using system printer)<<<.

If that does not work too I would uninstall the printer driver, download the most current one that matches with your operating system and install it. Then again create a PC3 for that printer.
