Autosave timer will only start when you are actively drafting or editing the drawing. If you open the drawing and don't do anything to it, you go to lunch or take take nap, it won't autosave. Afterall, why would it need to? No changes, no need to save. Also, once you 'save' or perform a 'save as' the current, or most recent, autosave will be deleted and the timer won't start until you are actively drafting again. Once you're active again the time will restart.

FYI there is no such thing as an actual autosave in AutoCAD: not to your actual primary open DWG file anyway. Read the fact and try to forget about the myth https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/autocad/learn-explore/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/Understa...

Your savetime is 5?

You are not in active BEDIT command?

You don't use QSAVE, SAVE, or SAVEAS for >5 minutes?

You don't see every 5 minutes the information about the auto save in your Textscreen[F2]?

You searched in the right folder? SAVEFILEPATH

for the right filename? SAVEFILE

I would recommend setting ISAVEPERCENT to 0 (zero)  There's not longer a reason in the post DOS world to set it anywhere else.
