We have some guys running autocad map 3d. I am running civil 3d. I can right click on the status bar and add/remove annotative scale/ visibility etc with ease.
They do not have these buttons and we can't find where to add them on the Map 3d.
They are running a template from head office..could they have removed those buttons through system variables or something like that?
Any ideas?
Basically we would like to start using annotative text but its a super pain without the buttons in the status bar. We can use the text commands so it obviously functions in map 3d but for some reason I can't get the buttons to show.

Hi,
not sure to understand you correctly, but try (for newer Civil 3D releases) to type in command _MAPSTATUSBAR, if that command works, activate the Map status bar.
Is that what you were looking for?

Bottom right corner of the status bar, the icon with 3 horizontal lines on it.
Click on it and the list will pop up with all the options to turn on/off.
Ya that was one of the first things I tried. That works on the civil 3d but on the Map 3d the menu that comes up does not even have the option to pick annotative scale or visibility etc.
The commands for those buttons work ie annoscale etc but the menu options to show/add those buttons don't appear to exist.
Ya i had tried that one as well.
That brings up a map status button but does not add the annotative buttons for scale and visisbility....well at least not in map 3d. It works on civil 3d just fine.
