Hi and Welcome to AutoCAD Forum,

>> if i select A0 paper size my 1:30 scaled drawing gets fitted. But if i select A3 paper size in page setup then my drawing doesn't gets fitted. <<

this is normal because when you change it to A3 you have to :

  • change the scale to another proper one that fit the new sheet size (1:90) .
  • tick Fit to Paper option as seen below.

Good Luck ...

Hopefully the below images will explain. These are all scaled at 1:50, but displayed on different paper sizes.

You can either have a specific scale such as 1:30 and then choose a suitable paper size that works, or you can choose a specific paper size such as A3 and then change the scale to suit.

Hi,

>> But i would like to print from layout so what scale and paper size ... <<

then you have to change the scale of your VP by Zoom ( scale ) command or by the way that you're usually follow it . printing from layouts always have the same scale from page setup plot dialog ( 1 , 0.10 .. ) but VP's scale is different and follow the print scale .
