Last Friday (06/23/17) I started my day launching ACAD and working as usual. After 30 secs working the software just crash and sent me to the ACAD error report window. As you know that happens frequently. so I ran the software again, but the software crashed again. So I proceeded to go to Control Panel / Uninstall option / and picked the repair option. Once again I ran the software and after 20 secs again shutted me down.
I have gone to "repair" and "uninstall" option, and reinstall the software several times. I restart the PC after every attempt of reinstall or repair the issue, and tried to run the program again. It kept kicking me out.
I sent the laptop to technical support and they formatted the HD and reinstalled the program under Windows 10; I don't know why they did that. I understand is not compatible with ACAD 13.
Anyway, the software starts fine but it keeps doing the same. it kicks me out when I try to open a file, open drawing utilities or after work on any file for more than 30 secs.
What can I do?
AutoCAD2013 is not supported in Win10 as explained here http://autode.sk/1IY4C2X
What that means is it may or may not run, it may break after a Windows10 update or it may not, Autodesk will in no way shape or form ever get involved in finding out why and will never plan on issuing any fixes.
Sadly Windows10 no longer lets you roll back updates permanently (an old fix with older Windows versions) so the break is likely to be permanent.
For most users these free tips help a lot http://www.howtogeek.com/228689/how-to-make-old-programs-work-on-windows-10/
For others they roll back to an older Windows OS and hang on tight to it for life.
For others still they purchase a fix from these folks http://www.longbowsoftware.com
As far as Autodesk is concerned, you will need to subscribe to a newer version of LT.
Hope these help.
