Autocad for beginners and tutorials

Anonymous

Hi, I am new to AutoCAD and have many programs on my works subscription and would like to learn the basics of drawing in AC to get me going - are there any features or tutorials in Autodesk to help me get started and that would be suitable for an absolute beginner please?

Many thanks

Hi Sarah ,

Since you're new in AutoCAD and depending on your specialty :

  • at the first try to find any one to teach you .
  • you can find at the web many tutorials .

Hi,

Check this website:https://thesourcecad.com/free-content/

There are lots of free content to learn about the basics of AutoCAD here. You can also make use of the AutoCAD Help by pressing F1 to learn more about a command🙂

Is the access to this free? I think I noticed this on Autodesk but I wasn't too sure if it would be suitable for beginners - thanks for sending the link

Paid instruction is the best for beginners, you can;t really use free since you really don't know what to look for, know what I mean? You can learn the basics and know what you are looking at and where you need to look when you are ready to learn more. I recommend LYNDA.COM (now part of LinkedIn Learning) for its widest range and excellent online video instructors https://www.lynda.com/search?q=autocad
