It's that simple, the file crashes when I select certain blocks.

Actually, it's not that simple. You are going to have to share an example file.

Drafting is a breeze and Revit doesn't always work the way you think it should.

Hi,

You may need to clean your drawing , install the latest updates .... etc . Would you please share with us your damaged dwg file ?

Use RECOVER command to open your file, then QSAVE: of share it over here for us to try it too.

There are many reasons why it may crash the software. Have you tried to clean the drawing first? Does this happen in other drawings or just in a single one?

I should clarify, the steps causing the crash were pretty simple, select item - crash. I've uploaded the offending file.

What's the originating source program of your DWG file? You appear to have lost all ability to use it as posted in any variant of AutoCAD, it's basically garbage when tested here.

You could try these methods yourself in case I missed something https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/autocad/troubleshooting/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/AutoCA...

Good luck.
