Autocad exported material not supported in other software except 3ds max, Maya

I'm working on Autocad 2018. Created one model and material applied on top of it. Its not getting viewed in other softwares like blender and all. Can you please specify what needs to be done. Because whenever importing it to 3ds Max or Maya, It shows Autodesk Bitmap in material window. Whereas I'm applying materials from 3ds max or Maya, its working absolutely fine in other softwares. Can you please give a solution.

What are you trying to do with Blender and your 3D model?

3DSMAX and MAYA, like AutoCAD, are Autodesk software that work together.
Blender is not from Autodesk and they probably need to update their import tools to do what you want.

Yes I agree with your point. But whenever we are applying some material in 3ds max or maya that is getting viewed in Blender and other softwares. Specifically for autocad exported material not showing. Can you please specify.

Hi,

In 3DS-Max you have a lot more render engines available and so, depending on the render engine you have selected there exists different types of material definitions.
AutoCAD has only one render engine and even if 3DS-Max understand this render model (including lightning, sky, materials), other systems don't have that engine and so don't have access to this types of materials (and other environmental settings)

This is not about render. I'm doing simple thing. I'm creating one model and applying material in Autocad 2018 and exported it as fix to upload that model into Sketchfab. But material is not visible. Where as I'm using same model in 3ds max and applying basic material. It shows in sketchfab and other softwares. I want this solutions.

If I need to create a model in Autocad and need to export with material for further use. Then it won't work is that the thing. Then what is use of exporting as fbx.

Hi,

Why do you think it's not about render?

The render engine within AutoCAD needs a special type of materials, that type of materials can't be used in any other (none Autodesk products) as they don't recognize the parameters of that material settings.

That's the difference, using "basic material" ... AutoCAD does not have "basic materials".

As you have both products, 3DS-Max and AutoCAD, why not assigning the materials in 3DS-Max and then export it?

Actually I want a shorten the process. Doing same work but using multiple software to get output is point less. Please let me know if there is any process to apply any basic material which will be visible.

Thanks
