AutoCAD - Create Base From Model Space activates "Move"-function

When i go "Layout" --> "Base" --> "From Model Space" Autocad activates the "Move"function. It has not always done so. What has happende. Started probably 3 weeks ago?

Hi @birk0442,

I see that you are visiting as a new member to the AutoCAD forum. Welcome to the Autodesk Community!

So far, I can't reproduce the issue, but do see that Move is an option immediately after placing the base view. Seems likely this is the move that is occurring.

Are you using any 3rd party add-ons in AutoCAD, or custom scripts (for example a LISP routine) that might be making the selection for you? I do not know of any system variables that would set this as the default behavior in AutoCAD or a drawing file.

I suppose, if it started suddenly and is occurring in any drawing, maybe test for a faulty mouse or damaged user settings file (profile). If you would like to test the latter, you can export your settings, reset AutoCAD to defaults, then test the function. They can be reimported after testing, if no change. See the following Autodesk Knowledge Network (AKN) articles for more on this

Hi,

can you please run the same procedure again, then use key <F2> to open the text screen of the command-line, create a screenshot of that screen so we can see the area between starting the command and then ending at _MOVE, I'm quite sure that we then see where it breaks.

A screenshot of command _ABOUT would be great too so we know the exact version you are using.

Hi Alfred,

Thank you for taking the time 😄

I've uploaded the requested screenshots.

Maybe this will brings clarity to the issue at hand?

Ever looked the screenshot?

Nothing to do with move, the base command canceld with an error message.

If you find a problem, all following things are uninteresting (like the start of Move command, because your macro sends "M" to commandline)

Is it the same in a new file with one BOX inside, or is it working as expected.
