AutoCAD crashes when using MIRROR command

Hi, using MIRROR command on a complex 3D model, I applied the mirror command successfully but realised I'd made a mistake, I undid the mirror command. Then when I reapplied mirror AutoCAD stopped responding. I have recreated this crash a few times. I checked system resources, I'm only running at about 50% of my resources, but AutoCAD is using 100% of a single core, after AutoCAD stops responding it keeps alternating between different cores.

Not sure if this is my hardware reaching it's limits or a bug in AutoCAD. Any advice will very much appreciated. Thanks.

Do it again, but this time QSAVE after you UNDO. See if that helps.
Otherwise see if you problem DWG file (and all attached XREFs) needs repair.

Few things you can try. Do an audit and a -purge and remove all regapps. Save the drawing and try again. Also you can try to turn your hardware accelerator off.

hi, thanks for the suggestion, I tried QSAVE, but this had the same effect and AutoCAD crashed in the same way. I tried the same .DWG file on another computer and the recreated the same crash in the same way. So I guess it is a problem with the file. Not sure how to fix the file, but when I did Audit, nothing came up.

thanks again

Thanks, I tried audit and purge. Audit found no problems and I removed a few regapps, but I still have the same issue.  I tried turning off hardware acceleration as well, same issue. I think it might be a problem with the file because I get the same issue with the same file on a different computer, although nothing came up on audit. Not sure if there is a way of fixing the file. Thanks again for you help.
