Hi @Anonymous,

I am not aware of any limitations or maximums in working with Point Clouds.  Here is a link to the Help on this topic. It appears to be largely based on the resources available on your computer.

If you are having performance issues, try reducing the density a bit to see if it helps.

Which version of AutoCAD?

How are you loading the point clouds - native ReCap file?  Neutral-format PTS file?  CloudWorx or other third-party plug-in?

What else do you have in the model?

The native ReCap file reader does a good job of managing the point cloud (clipping boxes, for example), as does the Leica CloudWorx tools.  However, given the scale of operations normally used in AutoCAD projects loading in a super-large point cloud isn't productive.  While you're working on one end of a facility (or floor of a building, etc.) there's no benefit to having scans of *everything* available.

Hello

Thanks for the reply … I'll confirm with the tech about the how the clouds are loaded.

The Version of AutoCAD is 2018 and the cloud size is just over 5GB
