A teacher here has bought a tutorial book for AurtoCAD and Inventor 2016 but we are running the 2015 version of the software. She is wondering
Will this matter if the students use this book along side AutoCAD 2015?
I realise there will updated functions in 2016 but is the layout and tool bars the same?
Or should I just ask the school to source a 2015 tutorial book?

I cant speak to inventor but the differences between 16 and 15 are that great in general. I think you would be fine using those books.
you can source this to make a more informed decision: http://www.autodesk.com/products/autocad/compare/compare-releases
