AutoCAD 2025 Plot/Publishing longer publishing times.

Recently some people in my office have switched to AutoCAD 2025 or AutoCAD LT 2025 from AutoCAD 2022. We seem to be experiencing longer publishing times. Some drawings are only 10 or so seconds more, but for some drawings we are getting triple the publishing time (2 sheets took about 20 seconds on 2022, the same 2 sheets took over a minute on the 2025 versions).

As far as I know all the network file paths are the same and publishing options are the same. Is there something that could be causing these extended publishing times?

Thanks

Did you all, each and every one of you, turn off BAKCGROUND PUBLISHING yet? Everyone has to do it, no exceptions. OPTIONS command's PLOT tab is the place to do it.

If yes to the above, that seems random honestly, what is unique about one PUBLISH set over the others that don't take anywhere near as long? and can each one of you repeat the problem (and trouble-free) PUBLISH tasks on demand and get the same results 100% of the time with the exact same sets of DWG files?

If you truly answered yes to the very last question, then on one confirmed troublesome 2025-equipped PC, ensure the 2025.1 update is installed (use ABOUT command in the program to see, don't use any other method), then reset AutoCAD/LT2025, restart the PC, and start testing. See if that changes anything.

I personally have access to various versions of AutoCAD and have been testing on both, background publishing is off. From my recent testing it seems to be attached to a profile in one form or another. After changing profiles, AutoCAD 2022, the publishing of the same sheets went from 20 seconds to 40 seconds. Changing the profile back didn't fix it either.

Had to re import AutoCAD 2022 migration package to fix it. Unfortunately the 2022 import package won't work for 2025.

May need to do a fresh install and import the profile first. However, this won't work for LT versions as the profile tab does not exist on LT.

Post back if you get stuck, otherwise it looks like you have identified a fix.

A reset of LT should remove the one and only user-inaccessible profile there.

Here are ways to open a support case with Autodesk if you are on subscription to seek out Autodesk Support's help with LT2025 if you need it:

Unfortunately, fresh install and just importing just the profile instead of entire migration package did not fix the issue.  Could this just be an issue with AutoCAD 2025?

Not sure, you seem to be able to replicate the issue in acad2022 if I read your posts correctly?

I was able to slightly replicate the issue. After changing profiles it is slower in 2022 (20 seconds to about 40 seconds) but still not as bad as 2025 (1 min+). But after changing the profile back in 2022 it still kept plotting those same sheets at around 40 seconds until I reimported settings from a migration package. Not sure what is tied to the profile that is affecting the plot times.

I've gone through every tab in "OPTIONS" to make settings identical but the plot time is still significantly longer in 2025. Perhaps there is some system variable that I need to change that I am unaware of?
