AutoCAD 2024 freezes upon launching.

Hi,

I've had a problem with my AutoCAD 2024 app for quite some time now. I have a Student subscription available until January 2025.

Every time I try to open AutoCAD it freezes at the start menu. This happens 99% of the time. I can't do anything and the only way to close it is from Task Manager. Same thing happens when I open a file from Desktop or any other location, it launches then freezes on the first frame. On Task Manager, it says the app is "not responding".

I've tried many solutions but nothing seems to work. I have clean uninstalled and reinstalled it multiple times. Even tried to downgrade to AutoCAD 2022 at some point because I thought the 2024 version was too heavy (althought technically it should'nt), no difference. Put the power option to high performance. Tried all startups like diagnostic, selective or normal. Still nothing. Idon't know if there's any correlation between them or if I remember well, but I think this started after I downloaded some new updates from Windows 11. At the beginning everything ran smoothly.

Would really appreciate any help on this as it is directly affecting my studies and my academic performance.

Have you installed the 2024.1.3 Update yet? ABOUT command in your AutoCAD will confirm what you have installed. If not, get it from your Autodesk Account Page here https://manage.autodesk.com/cep/#products-services/updates
Restart your PC afterwards.

If that did not help... here is a longer list of things to try as well

Installed the update but it didn"t seem to help with anything. I've tried following the steps from the link before, no difference.

Did you remember to restart your PC after the update installation finished?

Here is how to open a support case with Autodesk if you are on subscription to seek out Autodesk Support's help:
