AutoCAD 2020 - Cursor not showing distance [NOT DYNAMIC INPUT]

How do I get the cursor to show the distance when I move my mouse away from the starting point? I've searched the help and forums and cannot find any information regarding my problem without the Dynamic Input being the culprit. I DO NOT mean Dynamic Input. I have included 2 pics, one without dynamic input on and this is what I am after. The second shows dynamic input on and this is not what I want. I had to open version 2017 to get Autocad to do this. I am currently running 2020.

Thank you for any information you can give regarding this problem.

I selected F4 then Dynamic Input then checkbox for Enable Dim Input.  Is that what you want?

@drewVGXUA and @rbaker provided the answers that work for me

Options>Drafting tab under AutoTrack Settings check Display Auto Track tooltip

Then start Line command make sure Ortho is on and coordinates now show up next to cursor

Hi! Did you perhaps ever find out what it was? Because I have the same issue now, and I absolutely do not want dynamic input.

I suggest to make another new post (message) for your issue?

Hi,

it should be solved by the hints above

First of all: AUTOSNAP setting -> "Display AutoTrack tooltip" ON. AutoSnap standard setting is 63.

And now you need one or more of the following settings

ORTHO ON [F8] - if this doesn't work (while autosnap is set to 63), "we have a problem"

the other three thing about the cursor information

POLAR ON [F10]

OTRACK and OSNAP settings ON [F11] [F3](using otrack requires more prerequisite to display the distance, "snap" the first reference point for otrack line)

There is one more rare possible (graphic) issue, but I guess it isn't your case, because the dynamic input displaying well, right?

The only thing that solved it was upgrading to the next version. The problem didn't migrate from the last version. Sorry if this isn't an option, but it was the only thing that fixed it for me.

Use dynmode 0, 1, 2 or 3

Thanks! But the day after the issue suddenly disappeared. Wouldn't be the first time I've been trying to adjust settings to fix something with no effect until I restart my computer. I thought I did that though, but maybe it just needed to cool off longer to stop being stubborn. I have no idea what the logic behind it is though and if it's normal for AutoCAD to randomly ignore settings changes.
