Autocad 2019 stealing focus

Hello!

I originally posted this issue on ACADE forums, but i have been informed that this is actually a core Autocad issue, so asking also here.

Original post:

https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/autocad-electrical-forum/acad-electrical-2019-stealing-focus/m-p/8027...

So the problem described shortly is that ACADE / ACAD takes focus from its own dialogues, for example when inputting values to attributes in attribute editor, i sometimes have to input one character at a time, because focus is lost from the textbox where the value is inputted.

Problems seem to be somewhat intermittent, sometimes going away for a while, but returning always.

The problem has been around for a long time, in previous versions,  and the old tricks that used to work (registry hack ForeGroundLockTimeout..., autodesk content service start mode) does not work anymore, at least in a Windows 10 environment.

Also tried to return ACADE2019 to default settings, and also made a clean install of ACADE2019 with no modifications at all, but the focus problem seems to persist.

Running ACADE 2019 Product version 16.0.49.0, on windows 10.

Any input on this issue will be appreciated!

Thanks!

I have this problem as well, been noticing it for a while.

It seems to happen every 3-4 hours or so.  I wonder if it's something to do with the licensing - maybe it's (not so) quietly checking the servers at Autodesk?

Hi @GilesPhillips & @tapani.kuikka,

Thanks for your participation on this issue. I am happy to bring this to the Dev team for them to investigate.  If you could detail how this happens or perhaps provide a Screencast to demonstrate the behavior that would be most helpful.  Please include exact versions of AutoCAD where you have seen this occur.

Please select the Accept as Solution button if my post solves your issue or answers your question.
