AutoCAD 2019 - Drawing a line delay

Every single time I type a command in AutoCAD 2019, it has a slight delay before I can click and use it. I will click two times before I can draw a line. However, if I use the repeat last command (right-click) it works like a charm. I have tried every graphics config modification known to man, no solution. PLEASE HELP.

I have Windows 10 pro 
Intel HD Graphics P630 AND NVIDIA Quadro P3000. 
32 GB RAM

i am sorry to hear you are having this issue but I am glad you tried the various Graphics options. I assume that you have also verified that you have DirectX running and that you are utilizing your discrete graphics card if you have one installed.

Have you also tried adjusting the INPUTSEARCHDELAY values to see what kind of affect it has?

Hello, thank you for the response. Please see the paint document showing what I have as far as graphics selected. I adjusted the inputsearchdelay to 1200,500,2000, etc. and still nothing...still have the stupid delay.

Thanks for hanging in there with me in trying to get this resolved.

Can you check your settings for INPUTSEARCHOPTIONS? If you also try logging in as a brand new user on your computer does the problem persist?

As you type in the command line, does the text show up correctly or is there a delay there too?

There is no delay in typing, only when I press enter and try to click right after pressing enter....I have to wait 1-2 seconds before I can actually use the command...

thank you, but still no good. Still lags after EVERY SINGLE COMMAND. Good god this is annoying.

Maybe an issue related to your profile? Try resetting your profile and try again.

Reset your profile by going to Start, AutoDesk, AutoDesk product, Reset Settings to Default.

What do you mean? Like drawing in paper space as opposed to model space?

Hi @Anonymous,

Do you have any third party applications installed?  Have you tried using a different user account to see if there something in your Windows account profile that might be causing this?

I have no 3rd party applications installed. I tried signing in under a different account, same problem. The other thing worth noting is this, (I have right click customization on where I right click it means "previous command") when I type in a command and then try it (which has delay) and then ESC out of the command and right click, it works like its suppose to. Also, when I click the commands, like poly line, works like its suppose to with zero delay.

I am looking at your NFO file that you provided for me. It looks like you are using the Lenovo provided drivers for your graphics cards but I suggest that you got to Intel and Nvidia to obtain drivers to see if the current ones improve this behavior.

I also see that you have some sort of mouse application running. Can you try using a generic mouse in AutoCAD  instead of the Evolent driver? If you remove that one does it return AutoCAD to normal behavior?

I also see some CLR errors in the event log which might indicate some .NET Framework problems.

Lastly, I see StoreAgentDownloadFailure errors in the error log which should also be resolved.

Please tell me where your files are located are they on "SkyDrive"?

Holy cow, it is the mouse. IT worked just fine with a regular mouse, only problem is I can not use a normal mouse because of carpal tunnel....I have a USB version of the mouse...maybe try to unistall and reinstall the driver? Or maybe just leave it as a normal mouse without the driver?

I am not buying that the errors you have mentioned are what's actually causing the delay within AutoCAD. Every other single program I've ran, works just fine. Browsing the internet, emails, bluebeam PDF, name it, works fine. I've had plenty of other video cards on other laptops/computers, that were far cheaper than this beast of a machine, and it ran AutoCAD just fine (fine meaning as long as autoCAD didn't crash).

I didn't mean to indicate the errors in your event log were causing this issue but thought that I should mention them to you so you could address them as well if you wanted to.

Please see if a different driver for the mouse is available from the manufacturer (possibly even an older one) to see if that helps with this issue.

This solved it for me (red below)

Solution:

Try one or more of these solutions:

Change settings for displaying the command line suggestion list: 

• Type BLOCKMRULIST on the command line in AutoCAD and change to 0.
• Type INPUTSEARCHDELAY on the command line in AutoCAD and change the value to 500.
• Type INPUTSEARCHOPTIONS on the command line to open the Input Search Options dialog box and try one or more of the following:

Turn on "Enable Mid-string Search".
Turn off "Search content at the command line."
Turn off "Search system variables."
Turn off "Enable AutoCorrect."
Turn off "Enable AutoComplete."

Or 

Turn off "Enable Mid-string Search".
Turn off "Search content at the command line."
Turn off "Search system variables."
Turn on "Enable AutoCorrect."
Turn off "Enable AutoComplete."

Press F12 or change the variable DYNMODE to 0 (zero).
