Autocad 2018 - New Layouts Tab - 2D Layouts from 3D Model

I have created a 3D model, I have used the new Layout tab to create my 2D views in Paperspace.

In one of the views I want to freeze an object to omit this from this view but I cannot figure out how to do this since the layers for the 2D views are now MD_Visible etc. so freezing the object layer in a viewport won't work.

If you freeze the objects layer in the model it is omitted from every viewport.

Does anyone know if this can be done?

No sorry that's not what I was asking.

I am using the New Layout Viewports that were introduced in Autocad 2018.

These Automatically create views in paper space from a 3D model.

I want to freeze a layer in one of these automatic views.

yes that is my first suggestion, just go inside your viewport paperspace > (modelspace) then go to layer properties > then go to New VP Freeze column.thanks

you can't delete the object it will begone in your modelspace you can freeze in any viewport.

mmmm Yes and No Smiley Happy

That will work for a 2D drawing but when you create views from a 3D model the layers created for the views are:

MD_Annotation

MD_ Hatching

MD_Hidden

MD_Visible

it does not create the layers that I have created in the model.
