AutoCAD 2016 Zoom Extents

Any drawing file that I have an external reference in and its x-clipped, when I zoom extent it does not honor the x-clipped boundry that was set.  The zoom extent command zooms out to the full reference rather than the clipped. Can anyone provide a solution?

The only thisn that I can think of is to uncheck Advanced material effects too, close your CAD & open it again

Oh wait! I did a full autocad restart and now zoom extents it is working as expected. Thanks guys.

I am having the xclip / zoom extents problem (in paperspace). I have SP1 installed. I have changed INDEXCTL to 2 in both parent and child files. I have repeatedly restarted ACAD.

Nada. Zoom extents still zooms to the entire xref extents. Just fantastic that all of our page setups we have used for years use extents for the plot area. Now every single one needs to be re-created to zoom window AND you can only delete old pagesetups one at a time with a right click. Could it be any more cumbersome???

Never heard of xclipping in paperspace..... i've only had issues in model space and did you try the graphics settings as mentioned above?

also on mine at least, setting the indexctrl to 0 worked just the same as on 2 or 3.

Does Zoom>All act any differently? I can't repeat your issue, but we don't use "extents" for plotting or pagesetup, we take advantage of paperspace fully/completely and opt for LAYOUT as the option for "what to plot" for 20-years now: we use the defined paper size already there, we don't fight it with "extents".

if your viewport is much larger than the defined paper size, you probably need to be doing all of that in modelspace instead I suspect.

Graphic Performance---> Uncheck High Quality Geometry, & Advanced Material Effects.

Close Autocad, open it again, problem must be resolved
