Here is how to resolve these crashes:

To resolve these issues:

  1. Go to Help > Desktop Analytics.
  2. Deselect the "Yes, I would like to contribute to this program" option.
  3. Click OK.

Next

  1. Go to Help > Customer Involvement Program.
  2. Select "No, I do not want to join the program at this time.
  3. Click OK.
  4. Restart AutoCAD or AutoCAD LT.

There are already over 3,500 error message sent in I'm told. There is a "backend" problem that will be fixed. Keep an eye out for a hotfix probably.

I tested this in the office.

Do not rename or remove the dll.

Just ignore the box and continue to work. The box will go to the background.

When I replaced the dll I lost a lot of functionality as I said with spaces.

Ignore the issue and wait for Autocad to fix it otherwise you could use functionality.

We have had zero issues so far with just ignoring the pop up box

Andreleslie, you might try typing in the command "customerinvolvementprogram" and "desktopanalytics"... and turning them off that way.

Un-check access online help in Options. That along with the analytics and customer involvent un-selctions that others have mentioned has worked for me.

Keep AutoCAD from contacting the mother ship.

ACA 2016

Good luck.

Bob,

I unchecked the checkbox in Options \ System \ Help - Access online content when available

However this did not fix the problem. Where is the checkbox located.

Thanks for your help.

That's the one I un-checked. I closed and restarted AutoCAD. Since then I can access the help area. I have made all changes with a new or blank drawing open. AutoCAD didn't seem to crash imediately if it was not an existing drawing file, for some reason.

I also signed out of Autodesk A360.

Sorry it didn't solve your problem.

I can not get to me help or any other commands before I am kicked out.  Do you mean I have to uninstall all my Autodesk programs and customization and then reset up all my users and each and everyones cusomizations.

This has caused my company tens of thousands of dollars.

Who set this is place to happen today?

At this time, a solution appears to be as follows:

  1. Close any/all open AutoCAD instances.
  2. Browse to the following Windows registry key: HKEY_CURRENT_USER/software/Autodesk/MC3/ADAOptIn
  3. Set the value to 0.
  4. Launch the AutoCAD product and verify functionality has been restored.

To be on the safe side, back up the Windows registry prior to making any manual edits to it (like the one in the above steps).

Several computers at my company are affected as well.

A worldwide crash of a software program put out by a company whose programs facilitate a massive percentage of the architecture and engineering for the construction business around the globe...on November 5th, of all days.

I'm hoping this is just a coincidence, Autodesk, and not something more serious.
