Autocad 2015-Where can i put in custom scales for viewport?

You used to be able to type in whatever scale you wanted in the Viewports toolbar.  Looks like they have done away with this option.  Does anyone know where I can type in custom sizes now?  Where did this ability move to or how do I get it back?

Thank!

Hi,

>> Does anyone know where I can type in custom sizes

Property window is one option, but when you turn on the toolbar "VIEWPORTS" also with 2015 (using command _-TOOLBAR) to type it in the custom scale like the old way was.

Thanks Alfred.  I'll look at Properties.

They actually took off the 'dropdown menu' where you could select a scale or type in a scale on the Viewpots toolbar.  Not sure what the point in getting rid of it was...only took up a 1/2" of screen space.  Ha ha

I have the Viewport toolbar showing on my setup and I can type in there like always.

Not sure why mine is shrunk.  I only have the 4 icons with no drop down box.

Hi,

you have to undock it or dock it to the top or the botton.

If you dock it on the left or the right side the popup-lists (combobox) are disabled).

Hi,

have you migrated menus from older releases or are you using a vertical product like ACA or Mech or so?

Mine looks like that:

Check your CUI and modify the toolbar if needed.

OK I think I will try this CUI method.

I just installed plain old AutoCAD 2015 from our subcription site. I didn't migrate anything, butI do have a ton of Autodesk products installed on my computer so maybe they are somehow affecting each other.

Forgot to highlight one other important choice in the CUI, see attached.

And if i need to add a scale, for example 1:75 or 1:2500, or reset the list like older versions? it' incredible we are going backwards

Hi,

>> And if i need to add a scale, for example 1:75 or 1:2500

Then start command _SCALELISTEDIT and create your scale(s).

>> or reset the list like older versions?

Then start command _OPTIONS ==> tab "User Preferences" ==> button "Default Scale List" ... and put in that scales you want to have as default whenever you reset the scalelist in a drawing.

>> it' incredible we are going backwards

Nothing backwards, same as 2014, 2013, ...

Or have I missed something?

Firstly to add a new scale to the viewport toolbar use: SCALELISTEDIT

Secondly, you need to have a viewport active.

it's not the same, in olders version with a simple clic in the scale list I could modify or add scales, obviosly with the command scalelist i can, but it's not the same exactly. Sin-título-1.jpg

Hi,

try that in a new drawing (based in an orignal AutoCAD template), I guess your list of scales is to long, isn't it?

Hi,

I have tried to reproduce the big amount of scales, in that case let the list pop up, move the mouse over the list and use the mouse-wheel to scroll down, that's it.
