Autocad 2015 - very small toolbar icons and unreadable drop down menu display

Hi,

I downloaded Autocad 2015 on my new laptop Yoga Pro 2 - 13". The configuration is:

4th Generation Intel (R) Core (TM) i7-4510U Processor (2.00GHz 1600 MHz 4MB)

Windows 8.1 64 bit x 64-based processor

Intel® HD Graphics 4400
8.0GB PC3-12800 DDR3L SDRAM 1600 MHz
Display recommended resolution 3200 x 1800

The launch window is too small. While the normal ribbon display is fine (although blurry), when i customise for toolbars, the display and icons are too small. The command toolbar text is too big. Some of the menus and icons are too small for the text (see attachment) and in some cases completely cut off. Please help, since i specifically brought a i7 processor on a portable laptop to be able to work on the go with big programs such as autocad, 3d max and adobe design suites...... My old laptop is windows 7 (i3- 15" Acer Travelmate) and really slow and heavy.

The problem is with AutoCAD not supporting your high-resolution display.  Autodesk is aware of the issue, but there is no real fix from Autodesk as of yet.  You can read more about the problem and workarounds here:

Work:  AutoCAD 2022.1.3, Windows 10 Pro v22H2 64-bit, Intel Core i7-8700K, 32GB RAM, Samsung 960 Pro SSD, AMD Radeon Pro WX 5100, 3 Dell Monitors (3840x2160)

This is a common problem with many applications everywhere, your hardware is ahead of the software developers https://forums.lenovo.com/t5/Yoga-Flex-Laptops-and/Yoga-2-Pro-tiny-fonts-in-some-applications/td-p/1...

Try #2 tip here from Microsoft (#1 does not apply to you and #3 only makes things worse I believe): http://www.microsoft.com/surface/en-us/support/apps-and-windows-store/app-display-issues

I tried tip 2, but it didn't work. In tip 3, you will have to scale dpi down to 100% (small) while scaling down the resolution to 1600x900 for it to work. But,then all my other apps and work would also have to work within these parameters which really beats the point of having such a good hardware. I tried the solution in the post of nrz13 above and it works for autocad

You're welcome.  Glad ppauerthd's workaround worked for you.

Thank you for your observations on the appearance of AutoCAD on high resolution displays. The development team is looking for comments about your experience with setting the Windows display scale to 150% or more, to accommodate newer monitors. Please take this quick survey (5 minutes), if you have tried to use AutoCAD this way.

Thanks in advance for your feedback.

I too have the same problem! Also the command bar is too large, which cuts off part of my screen so when I drag an object it disappears on half the screen. I use this program for work and have been trying to solve for more than a week.

My computer:

Sansung

Intel Core i7 6700HQ CPU @2.60 GHz

8 GB ram

64 bit System

Update 2017.1 includes the fix for high-resolution displays.
