AC 15 loads and immediately closes. Autodesk "fixed" this one before but will not do it again. Does anyone know what causes this, how it can be prevented and how to fix the issue?

There are many reasons for such crashing issue , i suggest to try :

  • Install all available updates .
  • Right-click on desktop icon ad chose "Run as Administrator"
  • try this AKN suggested solution . >> Click <<

I have the latest service pack loaded. The suggestion did not have any effect. AC loads and immediately closes. It doesn't matter is I open from the icon or as administrator. Same results

Hi @Anonymous,

I looked up your prior case and the resolution at that time was to perform a clean re-install.

So it appears that between then and now, something has changed in your environment.  Please tell me your operating system.  I suspect that a Windows update might be at fault but even more likely, if you have any reg-cleaning utilities they might have removed or corrupted some registry settings.

Please prepare a NFO for me and put it in  ZIP attachment on a post. I will look at the file to see how your computer is configured and to see if there are some specific errors in the log that we can address to fix this issue.

Please select the Accept as Solution button if my post solves your issue or answers your question.

No. It has not been resolved. You may be beyond my level of expertice. I'm an architect that hires cad drafters. I do not draw in AC myself but I need to be able to open and see the files. I'll look at the latest suggestion and try that over the weekend
