Auto place text to points after ex resize of text

I was woundering if there is any way to make text align around the points automatically, and reduce the manual textplacment so that you maybe only need to change som text that are close to each other.

To explain what I mean I will give an example.
I work with survey points and when making a drawing I import the text from 3d party software, with code and height (so 2 text for each point). What I do next is that i resize the text because it is always too big. This makes the text faraway from the coordinate points.

My method now is that I color all code in one, and height in one. Then I open layer manager and sort by color, freeze all that hare not the color for ex height, and select and move all heigh text close to the point, and so over for the code text. Some places need manual placment when it is densly with points in an area.

So is there a way to make it more auto and reduce this methode I have? Maybey with a lisp or a function in Autocad that I don't know of.

Start at the beginning. Set-up the 3rd party software to do what you want or as close to it as possible. That will minimize the rework that you need to do in AutoCAD.

Drafting is a breeze and Revit doesn't always work the way you think it should.

I will look this up. But anyway, is there away to auto adjust the text to the points? Even if I give the right scale, maybe I need to reorder/place around the point if I change the text height for example.

I hope it helps a little, if not I'll tweak it some more.

Hi Joakim,
"...import the text from 3d party software, with code and height..."
What 3d party software are you using? How are you importing the text into AutoCAD? Are you using Vanilla AutoCAD? Have you considered using Civil 3D, which really shines at using this sort of data?

SBG geo. Kind of small software, not so known. I am using vanila. Civil 3D has so much more and I would really like to have it, but too expensive for our company 😞

Can you get the output as Blocks with Attributes, rather than Point and Text objects that have no relationship to each other?  If so, you can easily change the Scale factors of all the Blocks at the same time, in the Properties palette.

Thanks for the try. I don't need help with it, just wondering if there is a way to make text size change so that it stays to the point and you don't need to select and move them manually. Like in GIS softaware when labeling, it stays to the point even if you change size.

@jocke.o92 What you want to do with text sizing is all dependent of your text settings ( height and justification in relationship to the point is key here) and more that you planned ahead for to allow for such a change: but you use an add-on so you should be asking the add-on vendor about your wishes and desires.

In your sample files your points are literally just floating around in open space with no real relationship to the text, and the text justifications are all over the place too. Those are your biggest issues that are preventing you from quickly just resizing the text while they stay in relationship to their respective point objects.

With all of those text layers but with all of your points on layer 0, how can you even tell which text goes with which point if I may ask? It looks like this is someone else' drawing that you exploded perhaps?

Your sample DWG file is not the best way to present and work with the data you have in it. If I may ask, what is your level of experience in AutoCAD?

How do I know if it's correct unless I show you what I come up with?

Search it, hundreds out there to do with points.

I see your point with the connection between point and text. I will indeed ask them if there is a way to export so that they are linked.

Regarding the points in 0, thats because I forgot to export them with the code, then they will be in 0 automatically. My fault. Anyways, they will still be detached to each othere regarding the relationship, so it is still a problem. So I will ask them for export properties.

Thank you for the clarification, I understand better now. I am kind of new to Autocad
