Attribute Block paste in wrong position when copy from another file

I have some enhanced attribute (floor level symbol) and when I copy it from the architecture archive for mine, it pastes in wrong position, like it's "divided", the symbol go to one position and the text, to other. It happens with all the floor level blocks I try to paste in my archive. Here's a image that may show what happens. The text should be above the symbol, but he moves away....

Please, do anyone know what to do??

Hi,

try command _ATTSYNC ... if that helps, then ok.

If not then use the block-editor for that block to define the attribute positions in relation to the block's base point, then close the block-editor with saving the modification and run then _ATTSYNC.

HI

type "_AttSync" and select the block and then press enter.

in the file you have same block name,

1-you can rename the block in main file, then select ,copy, and paste

2-you can rename on target file the same name block, and then  select ,copy, and paste from source file.

(same  block name on different files can make trouble ,watch for same name, maybe the have different insertion point, color, size,)

Type "_AttSync" and select the block and then press enter. to update the  att blocks.

good luck

I1ve tried to change the block name but haven't worked... I have to change each block to one different name? Because I have at least 30 blocks of this. And change it in the original file or in my file?

It sounds and looks like the block definition is different form where you are pasting from(source) and where you are pasting to (destination) is lacking the attributes.

I would WBLOCK the good one from your source drawing to a file. Then use the insert command to browse for the block you wrote out to a file and then answer yes when prompted to redefine your block. Then the location of existing blocks int he file may shift as the problems you are having look like the insertion point is considerably different from your new blocks insertion point. Then you can copy and paste from one drawing to another and they should behave as expected. You could also run BATTMAN or ATTSYNC to update the existing blocks to have the attributes the new definition has.

Good luck,
