Array switching to a 3D display (why?)

(Check the icon to see the switching of display mode)

It feels like the new Array function was meant ONLY for 3D use. Which i find quite a silly thought.

Noticed this behaviour over several new AutoCAD releases and it keeps bugging me.

Autodesk, can you please stop this mechanism?

It is a useless waist of time / computerpower.

Nope. Imagine working on a big file and you have to wait for 10 seconds to edit your array! It kills your momentum

@imomani Try something different: Here are the ways to open a support case with Autodesk if you are on subscription to seek out Autodesk Support's help:

it's still a unsolved problem 2025!!!

I have been using ProgeCAD som time now at home office - its a very compatible alternative to Autodesk AutoCAD. The icons and menus are quite bad looking, but go check the price (no subscribtion needed).

OK Autodesk - do you mind looking in to fixing the problem with Visual style in array ?

If you want Autodesk to "fix it", you and a few 100/1000 other subscribers have to ask for it in the same level of detail and clarity constantly (none of this 'once and done' thing) over and over again over here at a different site, here is the link:

Posting in these forums for other end-users like you and me to see or no-longer-employed Autodesk staff is a waste of time.

Is that anecdotal or fact based?  Because when I see a post with a bunch of complaints and no fixes, I learn something VERY valuable.  These posts are actually an asset to me.

I learn to stop searching for the answer and realize that its not a priority for autodesk to fix, and just like any tool with a chip in it, you learn to make the best of it.

Kinda go with the flow, you know pendean?
