What I have been using for arc lengths less than 90° is the "arcld" command. This creates an arc length dimension, but in a text form. Instead of typing the command all the time, I created an "arcld" command button and placed it next to the arc length button "dimarc". The fractions do not auto-stack, but my work around for that is to type a quotation mark after the fraction, which stacks the fraction and then I delete the second quotation mark, or just leave the fraction unstacked. The extension lines are the same as an angular dimension but with dimension text (1'-3 15/16") instead of degrees (35.47°). Also, not really a problem, but the dimension text will not change if you alter the extension line location. This can be used with whatever units you are using. I does not have to be architectural units.
