Annotative Text in Tables

I have seen posts going back to 2014, saying this is not possible

and that there is no annotative text in tables

Can anybody confirm that this is indeed the case.

I work in autocad 2018 I can't do it.

I know someone who has autocad 2020 and also can't do it.

So when working with tables does everybody just use non annotative text at the correct height value?

TABLESTYLE command does not offer an Annotative option, so nothing has changed through AutoCAD2021.

Thanks

I don't use tables very much, so can't comment from a viewpoint of continual user.

However it seems to me that if you are going to set your cell width and height you might as

well just set your text height as well without worrying about annotative text.

Also it depends whether you put the table in model or paper space.

If for some reason, you wanted to put it in model space, you could make the whole table

as an annotative block.

I don't know whether annotative scaling in tables would be useful, and seeing as there is no

"ideas forum" for autocad like there is for inventor, there is no indication of what users think

or supporting votes.

What do you other users (those that use tables) think

You've answered your own question.

What use would annotative text in a table have other than to mess up the table. The entire table would need to be annotative.

Drafting is a breeze and Revit doesn't always work the way you think it should.
